Come Beloved and Meet the Bride

With the Bride alluding to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Holy Mother Church
& the souls of those who seek union with Christ the Beloved.

 Robed in a golden, silken gown;
Embroided with the finest pearls.

Black yet comely, white and radiant;
Fragranced with aloes and myrrh.

Soft red lips, speak of innocence;
Illumined moon face of peace.

The Bride is waiting, calling silently;
She longs for his embrace.

Come now Beloved
To meet the Bride,
She has made Herself
Ready.
Come now Beloved
To meet the Bride,
She has made Herself
Ready.
All creation sighs at Her beauty;
As a child longs to be conceived.

The birds and angels parallel melodies;
The ocean and mountains cry out.

The breeze plucks the strings of every tree;
While the saints sway like heavenly leaves.

The children’s laughter tickles Her feet,
And so She dances, to greet.

Come now Beloved
To meet the Bride,
She has made Herself
Ready.
Come now Beloved
To meet the Bride,
She has made Herself
Ready.

All men and woman breath forth kisses;
That lavish the Bride as rain.

She swoons and faints, the Beloved can’t wait,
So He catches Her before She falls.

Raised-up by Her falling, thereby drawing
All creation unto Himself.

Smiling softly the Bride surrenders,
And the Groom meets Her smile, with a kiss.

He has come the Beloved
And met the Bride;
The two, they have been made
Now one.
He has come the Beloved
And met the Bride;
The two, they have been made
Now one.
