O Sweet One, my Sweet One

 The souls song of a longing sigh of love to the Beloved;
prior the approaching darkness and then during.

O Sweet One, my Sweet One, draw nearer I pray;
for dusk approaches and hide shall the light of day.
Draw nearer I beg Thee, I beg Thee to draw near;
or else I may lose Thee, and this is my fear.

 O Sweet One, my Sweet One, hold my hand I pray;
for dusk approaches, then cease shall the comfort of day.
Take my hand I beg Thee, I beg Thee my hand to take;
or else in loneliness, I'll never cease to shake.

O Sweet One, my Sweet One, look at me I pray;
for dusk approaches and hide shall the sight of day.
Look this way I beg Thee, I beg Thee this way to look;
or else I shall thirst, without Thy gaze, my brook.

O Sweet One, my Sweet One, smile at me I pray;
for dusk has cometh, and soon cease shall the joy of day.
Smile at me I beg Thee, I beg Thee at me to smile;
or else in sadness, I shall weep tears of bile.

O Sweet One, my Sweet One, embrace me I pray;
for night approaches and hide shall the warmth of day.
Hold me I beg Thee, I beg Thee to hold me near;
or else I shall shiver, without you my dear.

O Sweet One, my Sweet One, kiss my lips I pray;
for night has cometh and ceased has the life of day.
Kiss me I beg Thee, I beg Thee my face to kiss;
or else in bitterness, I'll die, since Thy lips I'd miss.

O Sweet One, my Sweet One, Thou art with me I know;
though night has cometh and darkness engulfs me in woe.
Sweet One I trust Thee, I trust in Thee my Sweet One;
and though I hear naught, perk Thy ears, and hear this my song.

Song of light, comfort and sight.
Song of joy, warmth and life.

 Song of day, sung in midst of night;
by I the bitter in Thou the Sweet.

'Tis reason to dance, with tears of sweet grief;
'tis reason to laugh, with sighs of sweet of pain.

O Sweet One, my Sweet One, I am in love with Thee;
take these my tears, they're diamonds for Thee.
